Since we're talking about rubbing, anyone running VTA wheels and tires? With stock hexes, my inner wheel rim rubs on the bottom of the arms in turns, the car comes off the track with white plastic shavings underneath the arms and a small groove. This was with 2.9 front springs. I tried +1mm hexes and it's better but still a little rubbing. I'd like to try 2.7 front springs but I worry about even more rubbing when the arm moves up.
I had a similar problem with my Foam Tires, both front and rear. I solved the problem by adding a washer in between the hex and the wheel (so similar to running a +1 or +2 hex). I believe I had to add 2 washers to keep it from scrubbing at all. And just to be clear, is it the inner part of the wheel near the spokes that is rubbing? Or is it the very outer part of the rim?
