The new durango spec b BB pistons have an outside diameter of 12.3mm the older and the taper pistons are a bit smaler, 12.2mm, if i remember right?
So i dont think it would work good and your shock parts will not last very long, with the 12mm pistons from AE!
May someone have done a test with the AE pistons!?
