In parts of SoCal we run "OUTLAW VTA" with Open 21.5 motors, any 2c battery, No Driver Figure required, and we CAN add a small spoiler. The Slick tires are also legal, but they never work..so I think guys have those out of their mind finally. The body list is also a list is also a little more open as well. (There's a Corvette body that can run - and the McAllister Camaro body can be used..I believe there's a couple others as well)
The 21.5's bring us a little more excitement since most of our outdoor tracks are fairly good size.
I found this group/class appealing to me because I came from a 21.5/2c Oval Class - so I had a lot of spare motors....and I'm not so much of a purist to care about the driver figure - so it's a good fit.
We had 17-18 entries for the King of Cal race... with drivers from all over CA and a couple from AZ
