Ratio is the same and the extra drag is probably not even measurable. Only reason i went down is the motor does not get as much air.
That is what I found with the Centro. I could not run the same timing and gear with the motor inside the car as I could with the B4.2. Temps were much higher with the Centro and the lack of air flow was the reason.
