Not a dumb question. I use it where screws are threaded into aluminum parts. Also the manual should indicate where thread locker should be used. I use AE Blue thread locker. Blue Loctite works well. Don't use Red loctite.
"Should" being the keyword there.
The manual
should indicate where to use loctite but I don't recall my B5M manual mentioning locktite at all. I always do the same thing too...locktite on screws that go into any metal components.
