Remember the units are reversed front to rear....

Do the dampers have equal compression, and rebound in both directions??
If they are equal then it doesn't matter where they go.....

This is a common question. The way I think of it during a build now is to make sure the dampers marked R go into the 'R' holders as shown in the manual (and the same for the L shocks). Then fit them to the chassis, they will only go on the chassis one way but the ones marked R will be on opposite sides front and rear. (It's the same for the L shocks too)

The damping is symmetrical from factory, however there is an option to replace the screw in the end with a grub screw which makes the damping non symmetrical.
