Finally got the pair of VTA bodies done that I was working on this past weekend. The details were important because I was trying to match up to actual car from the racer's past.
Both are HPI's. One is the 66 Mustang and the other is the Boss Mustang. Both bodies are really awesome, but the bad part about both is that the
window masks don't fit well at all. That took a lot of time to correct. The 66 ones are way off.
He wanted me to do a black vinyl roof. To get that kind of matte textured finish, I used a matte spray and let it fall on the roof lightly. Turned out really well.

Next time dont take the overspray film off and just cut out what you want in matte or flat and peel that section of the overspray film off then paint. Once your done pull all the film off and you are done no need to do all the extra masking when its all done for you at the start.
