Default 1.6 mm Top Deck?

Hi all,

I've read on a lot of setup sheets that drivers are running the thin, 2.25 mm bottom deck. I can't really afford it, plus it would require taking the entire car apart...

Anyway, would running the thin, 1.6 mm top deck have a similar effect? I imagine running a thin bottom deck increases chassis flex, and running a thin top deck would also increase chassis flex? Is this better on all surfaces, including carpet?

If anyone has thoughts on running the thin top deck with the standard bottom deck, I'd love to know what your experiences have been!

Thanks!
Sam

P.S. On a side note, I've been having a little trouble with the shocks leaking. Has anyone else run into this? I'm not the best at building shocks though, just to say. I've heard AE Green Slime grease on the O-ring works well to seal shocks. Any thoughts?
