A lot has to do with personal preference. 2 pole motors are smoother and accept timing boost better so some guys prefer that to the 4 poles. Plus they're easier on batteries. Both motors you mentioned should be roar legal, it's the 550 4 poles that aren't.
Speaking on 550 2-pole motors; I've never used one but speaking on turns, what would be best? higher or lower # of turns?
For example, for a large outdoor track with medium grip? Currently using a 4600kv but wanted something a little faster. Thanks
