Personally, other than the DCJ's (that Tamiya doesn't offer) I wouldn't run non Tamiya parts. Their quality is so much better than everything else....
IMO the M05 needs:
- Bearings
-CV driveshafts
- the aluminum steering rack
- oil filled shocks (any of them are okay)
- proper tires
And have at it!
