I was in your position about a year ago. I went for the F104v2 and didn't regret it. Is it for fun or do you want to race it? For 180mm width it is a good car. For 190mm you would need to make a small conversation. For 200mm you should go for the F104w. For needed hot ups you should check the Tamiya America website. I for myself upgraded my F104v2pro with everything except for the aluminum servo mount.
You should check 3racing FGX or F113 or the TRG-line of F1 cars also. Like touring car most F1 cars have a similar speed level. A speed difference makes the width and a dampened front axle (F113).
