I have a couple pieces of 1/8 dia carbon fiber rod that fit in the antenna mount, but I'm not sure how long to make the roll-over antenna. Any thoughts or suggestions on this?
In the UK, the BRCA rules ask for a minimum roll over mast height of 150mm from the ground. So cut your rod to 6", put it in the mount and stick a dust cap on the other end. If using carbon rod, and if your aerial wire is long enough, do not coil it round the mast to make it pretty as it could result in interference. Run it straight up, and down. Again if need be. Secure it with heatshrink or o-rings or insulation tape.
