For IROCC track I usually gear at 3.88 with the RX2 17.5 motor. With the TX I will start it at 4.0~4.2 with high timing.(about 4mm pass the 20*)

If you are using the M12 radio then set the Punch to 7 and then go to the racing mode on the radio to adjust the throttle curve.
