Durango is not so secretive in testing platforms as some companies are... So what may seem like a while for testing is actually not long at all, you just have to watch the process instead of being surprised... DEX210 is a great example of watching the platform evolve for what seemed like forever..
And also don't be surprised that the production car doesn't look exactly like the proto car. (DEX210). I just got done listening to radio impound podcast with Ciff Lett, and he explains there is a design process for "no limits" and "production limits". I feel Durango is in the "No limits" stage, but may have molds already for production... Who knows! When you look a TD drivers car, its always being tested with new stuff. lol
