I'd like to know too. EA rebuilt 4 of my motors and I
noticed that the sides of the brushed face is shaved a
little. The original EA motors had a hole in the brushes
but he is doing things a little differently now. For
anyone thinking of getting motors rebuilt from him I highly
recommend it, the dyno numbers look at good as my new EA
motors. I guess as a bonus he threw in some motor tubes..

Eric,
I've just skimmed and re-brushed our ROAR stock and matched
the edge shave on the new brushes to your original.
Do you use a fixed-depth shave off to increase the torque,
or dyno first then decide how much?
If its fixed, then I have it, if not, do you have a
rule-of-thumb to work out the shave off?
