Now I'm confused. So you have to remove the layshaft mount AND the top deck? Gripgoat mentioned he doesn't remove the top deck on his Schumacher. The tamiya is top deck only. X-ray is top deck plus 2 screws.
You're right that its probably not a deal breaker considering the number of times you actually change the spur, but it does happen.....
