I don't thing there would be anything different. They are just a way to mount your arms at X degrees. The split type let you mount them 2 different ways making you buy less mounts for tuning overall. They also help with belt clearance on other cars.
the split blocks allow the chassis to flex more. it also has the benefit of being stronger than the 1 piece blocks.
