I'm a believer. I replaced my delta fan with an R1 fan at the track today. I don't have a SH fan for comparison - but the delta has always been the standard other fans are judged against.
Anyway, the R1 was better than the delta, without a doubt. Motor (TC 17.5) was cooler than its ever been after 6 minutes - barely warm to the touch.
I don't really know what measuring thrust on a scale tells you, and I definitely don't know what crushing a fan in a vise tells you. But this is what I can tell you from in car use - the R1 fan is the real deal. Total badass.
Its loud though.
