Anything new going on with the VF1 cars? Haven't seen any posts lately from Ned or from wtcc. Anyone done any driving tests of these cars yet?
I drove the prototype body a few months back. It was strictly made to fit he f104W (Lotus 79 or Wolf WR-1 kits) With the kit tires on an unprepped surface you had to tiptoe around the track. I couldn't even go top speed down the straight with the 21.5 motor. I didn't have time to try anything else other than saucing the kit tires which gave them a lot more grip and made the car at least driveable.
Since then I've amassed a wide selection of F1 tires that I intend to test: HPI Vintage tires, Vf1 spec (Tamiya) tires, and F103 foams and F103 rubber.
