Just started playing with this a little more and found the same problem.
I just sanded the the outside of the pulley halves a little with some 600 grit and added a 0.3mm shim on either side under the bearing to centre it. I also sanded the carbon bits a little. I think most of the problem is that the pulley moves side to side under load. All good now.
Did the same thing but also loosened up all screws on underside and retightend. Also remove top plates then put back on after bottom is secure. It seems after a big hit things will move!
