It does help the track stay together and significantly reduces the labor of track maintenance. But, it also adds traction, alot. Were you there last year? are you there this year? Last year they did nothing to the track except let it groove, it was slick, no one tire worked very well at all. For a blue groove track with the sun out and baking it...it didnt have the amount of traction it should have. Adding the sugar and then watering it into the dirt makes the dirt feel like sandpaper. Do you really think they would be running mid motor cars if it didnt add traction?
