The best way to do it, is with the bare plates only. So no Rear Pod, just the lower PodPlate. Also no (side tube) plates connected to the front lowerchassis. Even if you can, no Speedo wires interfering. This way you get an even better feel of the center pivot. But sometimes in between the races you just don't have that much time...
Yes the Kyosho Plazma Part aligns perfect. But be aware. The German (European) explode view and the American explode view differ from part numbers. The American version is the right version. Otherwise the German version has the Front suspension ball number, noted at the center pivot.
