The X12's can handle more heat than others. But other than that, youd be better served with your d3.5, or if your looking for a ROAR legal option, Reedy Sonic. Myself and my friends ran x12's for a while when boost was still in, and it is a great boost motor, but for blinky we came to the same ends you have, not the fastest for blinky. My Sonic @ 48* timing and 4.06 gear is every bit as fast as a d3.5
By middle timing do you mean the one that is completely flat. The one that sits like this?
I've run the reedys in the past and was very pleased!! Thanks for the help, ill give it a shot tomorrow and see how it goes. Worst case ill put it in my f1 until I get a 21.5 for it.
