I haven't personally ever seen any of the Steel MIP CVD's bend. This is the main reason they are used in the gas car as they were the strongest driveshaft they could find.

A coupld of things that might be worth thinking about though. Try running a little less steering lock. Personally i actually have a 1- 1.5mm spacter glued onto the hub to ensure a little less lock. This will put less side load on the CVD. ALso it is worth ensuring that they are free moving all the way through the pivoting. Can't see how this would be a problem, but you never know I guess.

Can't think of any other reason. I have used Titanium and Plastic (both weker than steel) and had no problems at all.
Yup, its the bone thats bending. I have my dual rate at 25% less than full lock to keep my self form using full lock and then hitting a board which is usually what causes stuff to break.
