It was ME who should have had a rollover at the IIC... or maybe not depending on how you look at it. I was stinking up the slow Mod 1/12 qualifier because I had screwed up my radio settings and I clipped the inner tube on the backstraight at about 1/3 the track, and the car flipped over as gently as a 1/12 car can and slid the rest of the length of the back straight on its lid, stopped right at the outer corner marshals feet, like 10" from the pipe at the end of the straight. All things considered it was a fantastic success, the car stopped well out of the racing line, and I didn't break a thing (on that hit) or impede anybody else. It occurred to me if I had a rollover, I would have stopped right in the middle of the lane and probably gotten blasted by Alf.
