You will want to pickup a lcd program box anyway. Just for ease of adjustment. I don't know for sure but I would assume the 1st esc comes with boosted firmware installed. You will need the lcd program box to hook up to the pc software via the usb cable. You will want to use 508_no_timing firmware.
