Reason they must be too soft because they get noisy pretty fast and you can see the wear on them. i only had two practice days and one race day on it . one other racer just got his RB6 and built it using the Avid system in it and at the end of the practice block of eight hours his car was as loud as mine. kind of disappointing.
since i already have the Avid top shaft in i think i will just use the AE V2 slipper system and use the JC spur gears
Hmmmmm; interesting. I originally had the AE slipper in my RB6 and when I switched to the Triad slipper, my RB6 was much quieter (and still is) than when I had the AE slipper in it. I've definitely put much more run time on my Triad for the RB6 than it sounds like you have and don't see much (if any) wear on the spur gear.
