I used the ulti's at the 1:12 worlds in heemstede and found them much better than the jaco i used before, but, you need to run x type tires on carpet. The j type is more suited to asphalt.

I used x soft in the rear and x med in fron, and they gave more grip than magenta or pink in the rear. There is also a z type rear that is really good in soft compound which gives a very locked in rear end.
