yes, i shimmed the suspension pins like what you did.
can you post pic of your spur gear shaft so I can have an idea what you did?
I just put 3 0.3mm shims behind spur adapter and kept the original 0.1mm shim in place against the bearing

And didn't you just get back from a vacation?
