You can use the "floppy" body mounts from an Xray T3 or whatever,
CLICK HERE. They will work just fine on this car. Or you can just put some body clips under and use them as the mounting points.. it's what I'm doing right now and it works just fine.
As far as gearing I'd start at 5.5 and work up/down based on temp/speed. The Velinion is a bit of an oddball so it's hard to tell where to gear it. With the included Spur you'd want a 29 pinion as a starting point. (84/29=5.5). I'd buy a 32T, 29T, 26T, and 24T for testing/tuning.
