i race with evo so i'll add my two cents here...

I'm currently using crappy old VTA tires on my FGX since that was the closest "realistic looking" wheels and tires i had when i built my FGX.

I'm finding that they are really good on the asphalt where we race. Which is shocking to me since they are "crappy old VTA tires." They aren't even the softer Pro Compound that HPI makes, but the D Compound which is harder.

The plan is to eventually buy some HPI Bridegstone Soft compound F1 tires since i've used them before and they stick like glue.
