Width of the chassis has nothing to do with side to side weight transfer. That is solely a product of weight, cg height, speed and track width (width across the tires). A more central weight placement lowers polar moment of inertia (also called yaw moment). All else being equal in theory, it should make a car looser on entry (it will change direction more quickly) and tighter on exit (it will stop yaw more quickly). Again, all else being equal, it will have no effect on weight transfer.
