Been racing 12 scale 3 years now and it works good. It gets the best handling car without play in any ballcup. Also doing it on my 10th scale xray NT1.
I also use a lighter to aply a little heat to the ball cup so it deformes a little and grips the ball better.
But the glue option is nicer and better looking.
