Update, I ran my TC 6 17.5 blinky this weekend. I had 3.89 FDR and started out at 36 degrees in practice and first heat. I didnt get a chance to temp it because of tech impound. Felt a little slow so I went ahead and bumped it up to 40 degrees for the next heat. Yes it was fast, but it came off the track after 6 minutes at 212F
Backed it down to 38 degrees and it ran cooler, but not as fast as I wanted. Will find the sweetspot at some point.
Last weekend was appallingly hot. Our motors were coming off the track @ 180F in 12th scale(17.5 non-timing). For reference, I have never had my 17.5 Reedy above 135F in 12th before.
I would have been very surprised to see
any of the competitive 17.5 Sedans come off the track under 200F out there, fan or no fan. When the track temp is 150F+, the motors get toasty.
