Hi , I have the first gen 417.
Exotek extra flex decks. Cut motor mount.
It is my VTR car(VTA over the states) , we have 17.5t x12 motors,blinky escīs 5.0fdr ,hpi vintage tires and 1425g min weight rules.
Now my question is how can I get this thing dialed on low/med grip asphalt(no additives allowed on tires).
It is easy to drive but not fast. It understeers badly, but if the track has even a tiny dust particle on the turns it oversteers...
I have tried with/without stabilizers,25wt oil to 50wt,(25wt rear/30wt front with red rear/yellow front springs works best so far).
5 front 5.5mm rear gc,5/4.5 droop has worked best so far.
1.5 camber all round and 2.5 toe out front, stock rear.
ball diff, the gear unit makes the car really tail happy.
So maybe you have some setup tips for me to try?
Also I would like to try the seperate sus.mounts, does these need any specific spacers? -or just regular 3mm shims/spacers?
