one H/W ESC one RX8 . 6S and 4S 2650KV to 1950 KV.
i have settled for RX8 on 4S , Orion 1950KV motor, 6500 70C 2S packs in series to make 4S. gearing 24t pinion, and 44T spur.
I'm still trying to use the standard saddlepack layout, but i think I also need to go to a 2x2S lipo layout (like your car), because of lipo capacity.
All in time...
I'm also testing the 4S lipo powered F180, really nice!, and the GT.
And at the moment I'n running the 12th scale worlds......
