I personally prefer a kyosho .1 or .2 shim (depends on the inner wear of the hex) right before the hex, keeps just enough pressure on the hex to keep the pin in nice and tight but doesn't cause any binding. There's always the Tresey clamping hex which imo is the best option if you are going to run only durango wheels.
