Never put yourself into a hole where just because a "team" driver never posts a setup with a setting that it isn't useful. I've gone back and forth with and without sway bars on various cars, and its just like any other setting, it is useful in certain conditions. If you take your shocks off and move the suspension you get an idea of what they do, and how much articulation it takes before they even do anything. Most of the time team drivers are only posting setups from tracks with ideal conditions and their setups tend to only vary with small changes.
This is a good answer. There are some situations where you'd want to remove one or both of the sway bars, and there are probably more situations that you'd want both on the car (as long as you race on nice tracks and have ample traction).
