If the D8T doesn't need many hopups (I don't know), it would be very hard to beat for the price.

I'm in the same boat, looking to pick up a my first truggy. Don't know which one, there is so much choice out there right now in the 1/8th off-road market. Seems like there is a new buggy or truggy being released every week.
