i didn't have the stock plastic part, had 2 of the aluminium ones so just used one of them.
The filing allows a smaller spur gear to be used, larger pinion and a better fdr.
To give you an idea the local 21.5blinky class is running low 19sec laps (19.3/19.5)
The VTA class is also running 21.5 blinky, and running low to mid 20sec laps (fastest lap 20.249 last tuesday)
We have to get out fdr's close to our 21.5 blinky class cars to be competitive
