Looks like a reasonable upgrade.
It's quite easy to cut the lipo bottom deck into the SP shape too if you have one to use as a template. I did this at TITC. We also discovered TCX has the same hole pattern for the top deck, so we could use any of their top decks provided the pulley has enough clearance.
