I run the TRF416X lipo also with the VII spec gear diff but havent stripped or broken a rear belt in a whole season.
The forn belt should be a bit tighter then the rear so the car want's to pull a bit.
Check if the gear adaptor is right in the middle as if not the adaptor can damage the belt.
Same with the gear diff.
