I have never ever ever ever had a speedo run over 125deg F. Even while running a DESC410r and a 6.5 with heat shrink. If you burn up a Tekin RS it's not cause you heat shrunk the posts. More so something shorted out a post or two ( cap-battery-motor ) wires and hi current melted the plastics. Surface mount components would normaly have a heat sink yes but Tekin is a sweet and small package. I have RS in ALL my tenth cars and not once ( knock on wood ) have I ever ever ever had one issue with any one of them. Except for having an Allen wrench accidentally dropped on the exposed wire ends while plugged in. Safety first... Been there , done that.
