G10 wont last, sorry to say. I made a link out of carbon also and made it double thick, it still broke. So I decided to take the carbon one to a CNC shop. I had them make a 5mm thick aluminum mount that bolts directly tho the lower plate. I used it this weekend and it worked awesome. I actually finished a race weekend.
