Yes the cooling fans do seem to help some. Im not a fan of clip on heatsinks. I would rather get one moutned to the car somewhere and try to get it blowing directly on the motor. Also someone on big jims web site is selling a petzier device that works very very well. It will take the motor down 60 degrees from what ever the outside temp allt he way down to the core. Take it off right before your race and go fly. Really seems to work well.
