For those of you running CRC tires/wheels, are you having to lightly sand the outside edge of the rear wheels with a file on the truer to bring the overall width down to 172mm?

I am using 1 of the AE .005" shims in b/w the left side hub and 3 .005" shims in b/w the diff hub to center the axle. With un-modified CRC wheels, I am just a hair wider than 172mm. As in, maybe a half mm wider.

In preparation for the Carpet Nats next spring, I want to make sure I am within the legal limits for rear width. I did notice than a number of AE drivers were using CRC tires/wheels at the IIC.... both Hohwart and Levanen. It did not look like they had sanded down the outer edge, but then again Im not sure if they were teching rear width to the ROAR limit...

Any thoughts?
