I’ve done this exact thing, and ID the diff stiffness by the number of washers I use on the diff screws. 4 screws in the tightest diff with Bad Horsie diff grease, all the way down to no washers in...

The F103 chassis plate has the same holes. You could even just use the F104 servo mounts on the 103 and be done. F104 rear axle for the fully enclosed diff adjustments and you’d have an F103.5 six...

Its an older picture, but the chassis in the middle is the P34 front suspension on a F104 v2, although it should bolt directly on to any F104. The stand up servo even fits under the P34 body!

I always use the bumper stay to mount my Subaru bodies. I don’t like having the body clips right at the hood scoop. You’ll need the body posts from a TA05/TB04 bumper sprue.

You can also use the...

You can use TT01 differentials in the TT02. They have metal internal gears but with 3 spider gears instead of 4.

Edit: if you decide to go with TT01 diffs, use 53790 drive cups instead of the TT02...

Tamiya 54875 gear diff

Just curious about this diff. I noticed that it only comes with 1 cross shaft and 2 spider gears. But the cross shaft has a flat spot in the middle, and the diff case has a slot for possibly another...

Ok good to know thank you! I was just hoping I could utilize the diffuser that’s built into the original F104 pod plate. But I’ll stick to the WGP one piece t-plate.

Not that I’m racing anywhere...

Sorry for an old F104 question. I have a F104GP and I was wondering if there’s any benefit to using the original F104 T-plate/pod plate combination.

The GP has the same chassis and T-plate as the...

How does that long wheelbase handle? Also forgot, the full scale F1 cars are that long for aero purposes, to maximize the venturi effect. If the 1:10 cars don’t take advantage of that aero, then it’s...

They look like the generic Tamiya F104 Pro 2 body.

Side note: I think it’s about time body manufacturers scale down these bodies. They’re looking too chunky for these “10th” scale wheelbases. I...

Thanks! I found that as well after I posted. Looks like I can use the TT02 spur adapter. But since I’m building the car for rally, I’d like to keep 0.6 module pitch. Or 48 pitch.

Hello all. Converted my old TT01 to E spec for some box stock Euro truck racing and it’s lots of fun. Decided to open up another older TT01 kit I’ve been storing and building it up more than stock.

I wonder why TC01? It looks like it has F201 style pushrod suspension. And it’s a Formula type body. Wouldn’t F202 or F301 make more sense? Then again, I still think the TA03 and TB01 we’re switched...
