Running 2mm on top and on the side is the same as 3mm and B on the old hub. There should be no handling difference.

Ok, so would you say 2mm on the hub is a "magic" spot for the ballstud position then? Meaning that the location of the stud is more important than the link length when changing pivot widths?

go to 6mm hex to get more rotation. 1 out C and D is 1 degree of anti squat. To get more you’d have to run 1 out and up and 1 out in the C to get 2.
