I don't believe in magic numbers in RC or real racing. 61% happens to be the most rear weight I could get without doing anything stupid or spending a bunch of money.

Oversimplified: If your car...

I just bought a T8 with no throttle servo plate or battery box. Does anyone know if the v3 servo/battery/receiver tray will fit on the v2 chassis? I don't even know where to buy the v2 parts.

The 777SP2 arms are 1.5mm wider on each side. Exactly half of the outer hinge pin hole.

These arms are much more rigid than the ones I had on there.

I'd put my 2000 stumpjumper FSR XC pro with V-brakes up against anything new! I had Avid magnesium brakes on there and they were way nicer than anything but the super heavy downhill discs. The pads...

It's definitely a completely black rubber liner. I have plenty of spares too. I think some cheap readyset version comes with them. Worst case scenario, I just won't use any brake on track.

I...

Yeah I haven't broken anything on any car in a while. Rubbing pit lane is routine. I must have caught the messed up part right near the pit entrance. I heard a little thump and the arm fell off....

I don't have a top deck for the KF2. I'd run one if I had it because the KF2 has a silly amount of flex up front and I'm just not a fan of 'adding flex' to change handling characteristics. RC car...

Picked up a nitro motor (my first), so the old 777 is back in nitro trim. Unfortunately, it wasn't a stellar debut. A solid week of rain meant the track had to be pumped and drug, so it was...

Sorry for the delay.

Added a full 2% rear weight by moving ESC from fully forward to fully rearward. Low grip layout with super shorty 2600mAh battery. No issues yet with 8-minute mains (7.5 in...

I'd like to run less caster but 22 is what I have. Shock pistons are also whatever they are. 2-holes... Whatever size.

Rear upper links as short as possible and fronts as long as possible really...

What's the known issue, exactly? That they go bad or that the two antennas aren't suited to nitro for some reason? A friend's M12 just gave out and a handful of the top top drivers basically said...

I'm at a solid 61% rear weight with rear-mounted shocks on the kit tower and low-grip layout. I do have 25g on the transmission housing but it'd probably still be 60% with no ballast. Running on...

My 777 has king headz everything so the steering knuckles are nice. Hopefully a better servo will solve those issues.

5-5-3 is much calmer out of slow corners. I don't know what used to be...

Ok good, my steering throw looks good now. I usually like to add bump but I haven't freed this car up enough to need it. I wish I could take caster out (at 22 now) but I'm ok with it. My steering...

That camber link setting is exactly what I was going to try -outer bottom on tower, out on hub. It seems like there's plenty of steering throw now that I've clearanced the drag link... You guys are...

Yeah I was seriously lacking steering throw until I clearanced the drag link. The electric conversion requires you to flip the servo saver. I can still go a tiny bit further and get it back to full...

Funny, I'm doing the same thing. I bought a 7.5 and 777 roller lot and converted the 777 to electric. I was just getting into racing and had no idea how stupid it was to buy obsolete vehicles or...

I replaced the factory thrust assembly with a used Schumacher one and it did smooth the diff out. Didn't help with the binding.

I know it's only 17.5 but that's a pretty aggressive setup for clay. I would try stiffer springs and/or less camber to help it with traction rolling. It may sound crazy, but I find 1 or 2mm more...

I'm surprised there's so much talk of rear hangers and so little about ball diffs. I thought my bad ball diff was a fluke because it came to me assembled wrong, but every other XB2 I've felt has had...

I do wonder if very little rear toe is more efficient for stock. I'd do everything I could to flip the rear arms back the way they belong, but that's just me. I don't really want stability on...

Good point. Xray drive pins are 3mm, Schumachers are 2.5mm. Maybe MIP makes a whole unit that'll drop in. Surely there's a stock guy who's tried it.

I hate adding weight but I've slowly gotten used to it. Lower grip simply requires a ball diff and a certain amount of rear weight bias. I now have 25g in and around the lower transmission housing....
