wouldn't no foams/inserts in a tire provide the most grip possible for that tire? While adding foams would increase speed since less rubber is hitting the surface?

Nice. I called Horizon and they confirmed. They even admitted there were so many problems with this esc that they pulled them off the shelf a while back. It looks like everything is all good now ......

I see on the HMXtech website you can download mod or blinky firmware to change the esc. Do you know if that function works? Buy the blinky and change the firmware to mod and vice versa?

I can barely remember but I believe mine is set to around 12-13 volts which was an increase from factory settings (something to do with the discharge bank volts??) IIRC there was some youtube video...
